Gratitude changes everything in your life. The more you are grateful for right now, today, the more you will be given to be grateful for tomorrow. Remember the Law of Attraction principles, like attracts like. Once we can grasp that concept, everything changes. The more we’re thankful for what we have, the more we receive.
Having an attitude of gratitude, opens up your heart and when your heart is open, that is when you’re in the receiving mode. The Universe wants to give you all of your heart’s desires, all of the things you’re wishing and hoping for but you also have to be open and willing, and in a place to receive.
How To Practice Gratitude
The best way I’ve found to practice gratitude is each and every morning, I sit down at my computer and write down at least 10 things that I’m grateful for. It can be simple things like being grateful for the warm cup of coffee I’m drinking or the computer I’m typing on.
The key to gratitude is you have to FEEL the emotion of gratefulness. Once you’re done with your list go through each one and conjure up that feeling of gratitude. It’s amazing! Do this each and every day and you will see so many things start to change for you.
Another technique I’ve used is when I’ve found myself very hurt or upset with someone in my life is I spend the time to write down 10 things that I am grateful for about that person. It is hard to do when you’re not happy with them or feeling good about them but what happens then is you start to focus more on what you do like or appreciate about that person instead of focusing on what you dislike or are bothered by. It puts the person in a new light for you and it’s easier to find it in your heart to forgive them.
Attitude of Gratitude
Gratitude is a great feeling to take with you throughout your day. You cannot be negative and down when you have a feeling of gratitude in your heart.
And if at times you start to feel down or discouraged, start thinking about all that you have to be grateful for right now. Feel that deep emotion of gratitude to the point of joyful tears. And soon all of the things that you have been hoping for will come rushing towards you in the form of ideas, inspiration and opportunities.
All of your negative feelings and emotions melt away when you focus on gratitude. It’s almost like pushing a re-set button. Whatever was discouraging you is still there. But after focusing on gratitude for a few minutes, it doesn’t seem quite so bad.
This book does a fantastic job of keeping you aware and reminding you how to use gratitude in your life. I have adopted many of the practices in this book and do them daily.
